2019 was the first time I returned to Samoa since I was 3 years old as I used to live there for a short time with my parents and siblings. Driving through Apia town, there were billboards of Taupou everywhere. It is an honour for young girls to be chosen as a taupou (ceremonial hostess) they are selected by a high chief of a Samoan village to undertake the formal reception and entertainment of visitors. They dance with honour & grace and represent a family’s pride and joy.

Our recommended washing instructions for all decorated garments
- Wash all fabrics as per their care label inside the garment
- Cold/warm wash recommended instead of hot washes
- Use minimal chemicals to soak or wash and follow packet instructions for colour fast washing
- Turn all garments inside out for washing & drying - to protect the decoration & garment fading
- Line dry inside out - out of direct sunlight
- Tumble dry on low heat - if fabric type suitable and preshunk
- Iron inside out and avoid ironing over printed locations
